Ingredients
- 2 lb. navy beans
- 4 qt. water
- 3 chicken bouillon cubes
- 1 1/2 lb. smoked ham hock
- 1 c. finely chopped onion
- 1 minced garlic clove
- 3 Tbsp. butter
- 1/2 c. diced celery
- freshly ground pepper
Method
- Saute onion and garlic clove in butter.
- Cook adding 2 cups of shredded Cheddar cheese just before serving.
- I always add 1 slice of smoked ham to each of the recipes.
- Both recipes freeze well!
