Ingredients

  • butter or margarine
  • 1 1/2 onions, in rings
  • 3 (10 1/2 oz.) cans beef broth
  • 1 Tbsp. Worcestershire sauce
  • grated Parmesan cheese
  • sliced Provolone cheese
  • bread cubes

Method

  • Saute onion rings in butter until soft and transparent.
  • Pour in beef broth and Worcestershire sauce.
  • Simmer for 15 to 20 minutes.
  • Remove from heat.
  • In individual soup bowls, add bread cubes and sprinkle with Parmesan cheese.
  • Pour hot soup on top of cubes and Parmesan cheese.
  • Top with Provolone cheese and cover to allow Provolone cheese to melt.
