Ingredients
- about 8 firm, medium cucumbers
- 3 3/4 c. white vinegar
- 3 c. sugar
- 3 Tbsp. salt (canning and pickling)
- 4 1/2 tsp. celery seed
- 4 1/2 tsp. turmeric
- 3/4 tsp. mustard seed
Method
- Wash cucumbers and cut in sticks.
- Cover with boiling water and let stand 4 to 5 hours.
- Drain and pack solidly into pint jars.
- Mix remaining ingredients in pan, bring to a boil and boil 5 minutes.
- Pour over cukes, filling within 1/2-inch of top.
- Put on lids and rings.
- Process 5 minutes.
