Ingredients

  • 1 pastry shell
  • 1 c. diced cooked ham
  • 2 oz. grated Cheddar cheese
  • 2 oz. grated Swiss cheese
  • 4 eggs
  • 1 1/2 c. half and half
  • 1/2 tsp. garlic salt
  • 1/2 tsp. pepper

Method

  • Preheat oven to 375°.
  • Spread diced ham over bottom of pastry shell.
  • Sprinkle with cheeses, reserving 3 to 4 tablespoons for top of quiche.
  • Lightly beat eggs with a wire whisk.
  • Add half and half and seasonings; blend until smooth.
  • Set the pastry shell on a cookie sheet and carefully add custard mixture.
  • Sprinkle with remaining cheeses.
