Ingredients

  • 2 c. chopped green tomatoes
  • 1 c. sugar (1/2 white and 1/2 brown, not packed)
  • 1/4 tsp. allspice
  • 1/2 tsp. cinnamon
  • 1 Tbsp. vinegar
  • 1 1/2 Tbsp. Minute tapioca
  • 2 to 3 Tbsp. flour (slightly rounded)
  • butter
  • 1 (8-inch) unbaked crust and crust for top

Method

  • Mix sugar, spices, flour and tapioca together.
  • Stir in chopped tomatoes; stir to coat tomatoes.
  • Put into 8-inch pie pan. Sprinkle with vinegar and dot with butter.
  • Top with other crust and bake as you would any fruit pie.
