Ingredients
- 2 c. chopped green tomatoes
- 1 c. sugar (1/2 white and 1/2 brown, not packed)
- 1/4 tsp. allspice
- 1/2 tsp. cinnamon
- 1 Tbsp. vinegar
- 1 1/2 Tbsp. Minute tapioca
- 2 to 3 Tbsp. flour (slightly rounded)
- butter
- 1 (8-inch) unbaked crust and crust for top
Method
- Mix sugar, spices, flour and tapioca together.
- Stir in chopped tomatoes; stir to coat tomatoes.
- Put into 8-inch pie pan. Sprinkle with vinegar and dot with butter.
- Top with other crust and bake as you would any fruit pie.
