- 3 to 4 green peppers
- 1 lb. ground beef
- 1/4 c. chopped onion
- 12 oz. whole corn, drained
- 1 can tomato sauce (8 oz.)
- 1/2 tsp. Worcestershire sauce
- 1/2 tsp. salt
- 1/4 tsp. monosodium glutamate
- 1 c. American cheese, shredded
- 1/2 c. soft bread crumbs
- 2 tsp. oleo, melted
Method
- Precook peppers in boiling water 5 minutes. Brown meat and onion. Add corn, tomato sauce, Worcestershire sauce, salt and monosodium glutamate.
- Simmer until heated through (5 minutes). Add cheese. Stir until melted.
- Layer meat, pepper strips, meat, etc., in baking dish. Top with buttered crumbs. Bake, uncovered, at 350° for 40 minutes.
