Ingredients

  • 1/2 pound lean grnd chuck
  • Vegetable cooking spray
  • 3 med. green peppers, finely minced
  • 2 med. onions, finely minced
  • 2 tbsp. minced green onions
  • 1/4 teaspoon garlic pwdr
  • 1 egg, beaten
  • 2 tbsp. chopped fresh parsley
  • 1/2 teaspoon dry whole thyme
  • 1/4 teaspoon pepper
  • 1/8 teaspoon grnd cloves
  • 1/8 teaspoon grnd allspice

Method

  • Cook grnd chuck in a Dutch oven over medium heat till browned, stirring to crumble.
  • Drain and pat dry with paper towels.
  • Set meat aside.
  • Wipe Dutch oven with a paper towel; coat with cooking spray, and place over low heat till warm.
  • Add in green pepper and onions, and saute/fry 5 min or possibly till vegetables are tender.
  • Return meat to Dutch oven with garlic pwdr.
  • Add in egg and next 5 ingredients, stirring till well combined.
  • Spoon mix into a shallow 2-qt casserole dish coated with cooking spray.
  • Bake at 375 degrees for 20 min or possibly till casserole is set.
