Ingredients
- 1 unbaked pie crust
- 6 green apples
- 1 c. sugar
- 2 Tbsp. flour
- 2 Tbsp. butter
- 1/8 tsp. salt
- 1/2 tsp. cinnamon
- 1 tsp. lemon juice
- pastry for top crust
Method
- Peel, slice and core apples.
- Fill pie crust with apples to desired depth.
- Mix sugar, flour, cinnamon and salt; pour over apples and dot with butter.
- Cover with top crust.
- Seal edges and brush with melted butter.
- Make a small opening in center of top crust to allow steam to escape.
- Cook until apples are tender and juice bubbles and crust is golden brown.
- Bake at 350°.
