Ingredients

  • 6 medium potatoes, cubed
  • 1 can cream of mushroom soup
  • 1 small onion, chopped
  • 3 c. water
  • 1 can Milnot or milk
  • 2 to 3 large strips bacon, fried and crumbled
  • 1/2 c. chopped ham
  • 1 tsp. salt
  • dash of black pepper
  • 1 Tbsp. cornstarch
  • 1/2 c. water

Method

  • Cube potatoes.
  • Chop onion.
  • Crumble fried bacon.
  • Chop ham. Place in pot.
  • Add water to cover potatoes.
  • Cook until potatoes are starting to get soft.
  • Add salt, pepper, mushroom soup and milk.
  • Add remainder of water.
  • Simmer until done.
  • More water can be added for personal preference of consistency.
  • Thicken with 1 tablespoon cornstarch in 1/2 cup water.
  • Makes approximately 6 servings.
