Ingredients
- 1 1/2 c. milk
- 1 c. sugar
- 2 Tbsp. flour (heaping)
- 1 1/2 Tbsp. cocoa (heaping)
- 2 egg yolks (save whites for meringue)
- 1/3 c. butter
- 1 tsp. vanilla
Method
- Scald milk on medium heat.
- Mix together dry ingredients. Separate eggs.
- Stir in about 2 tablespoons dry mixture with egg yolks so when added to the milk it will not curdle.
- Add flour mixture to milk slowly and let get thick.
- Add butter and vanilla while hot.
- Pour into cooked pie crust.
- Put meringue on and cook.
