Ingredients
- 1 tablespoon olive oil
- 1/2 cup mushrooms minced
- 1 onion small, minced
- 1/4 cup ground oats
- 3 cups brown rice cooked short grain
- 1 egg beaten
- 2 tablespoons Parmesan cheese
- 1 tablespoon worcestershire sauce
Method
- Heat the oil in a small skillet over medium high heat. Add the mushrooms and onions and saute until the mushrooms are dark and the onion is golden, about 6-7 minutes.
- Prepare an outside grill with an oiled rack set 6 inches above the heat source. On a gas grill, set the heat to medium.
- Combine the mushrooms and onions with the remaining ingredients. Form the mixture into 6 patties. Grill the burgers, turning once, for a total of 6-7 minutes until the outside is golden brown.
