- 1/2 stick margarine
- 2 large onions, chopped
- 1 green pepper, cut in long, thin strips
- 2 lb. ground chuck
- 1 large can tomatoes
- 2 c. water
- 1 (15 oz.) can tomato sauce
- a little sugar
- salt and pepper
- 1 pkg. uncooked noodles
- 8 oz. pkg. Mozzarella cheese
Method
- In a large kettle or Dutch oven, saute the onions and green pepper in margarine.
- Add the chuck and cook until chuck loses red color.
- Add tomatoes, water, tomato sauce, sugar, salt and pepper. Spoon this over the uncooked noodles.
- Cover with cheese.
- Cover with foil and bake in a 9 x 13-inch pan for 1 hour.
