Ingredients

  • 1/2 stick margarine
  • 2 large onions, chopped
  • 1 green pepper, cut in long, thin strips
  • 2 lb. ground chuck
  • 1 large can tomatoes
  • 2 c. water
  • 1 (15 oz.) can tomato sauce
  • a little sugar
  • salt and pepper
  • 1 pkg. uncooked noodles
  • 8 oz. pkg. Mozzarella cheese

Method

  • In a large kettle or Dutch oven, saute the onions and green pepper in margarine.
  • Add the chuck and cook until chuck loses red color.
  • Add tomatoes, water, tomato sauce, sugar, salt and pepper. Spoon this over the uncooked noodles.
  • Cover with cheese.
  • Cover with foil and bake in a 9 x 13-inch pan for 1 hour.
