Ingredients
- 1 qt. large firm strawberries
- 3 Tbsp. cornstarch
- 1/2 c. water
- 1 Tbsp. lemon juice
- 1/4 tsp. salt
- 1 c. granulated sugar
- 1 baked pie crust
- 2/3 c. whipped cream
Method
- Wash and hull berries.
- Mix 1/2 of them with cornstarch and water.
- Crush.
- Add lemon juice, salt and sugar.
- Cook over medium heat, stirring constantly until mixture thickens, approximately 5 minutes.
- Cool.
- Pour remaining berries into crust.
- Cover with cooked mixture.
- Cool.
- Spread whipped cream on top.
- Enjoy!
