Ingredients
- 6 medium carrots, peeled and sliced 1/4-inch thick
- water and salt to cook carrots in
- 2 Tbsp. brown sugar
- 1 Tbsp. light corn syrup
- 2 tsp. margarine
- 1/4 tsp. grated orange peel (optional)
- 1/2 tsp. cornstarch
Method
- Cook carrots in water and salt until tender.
- Meanwhile, combine brown sugar, corn syrup, margarine, orange peel and cornstarch.
- Cook until clear, thickened and bubbly.
- Drain carrots.
- Pour glaze over carrots and toss to coat.
