Ingredients

  • 2 cups Flour
  • 1 Tablespoon Ground Ginger
  • 1-1/2 teaspoon Baking Soda
  • 1 teaspoon Ground Cinnamon
  • 1/2 teaspoons Salt
  • 3/4 cups Shortening
  • 1 cup Granulated Sugar
  • 1 whole Egg
  • 1/4 cups Molasses
  • 1/2 cups Granulated Sugar For Coating

Method

  • Mix dry ingredients together. In large bowl, cream shortening with sugar. Add egg and molasses; mix well and add dry ingredients. Roll into balls about the size of large marbles; roll in sugar. Place on parchment paper lined cookie sheets and bake for 12-14 minutes at 350 degrees F. They will flatten and crinkle on top.
