Ingredients

  • 1 lb. lean ground beef
  • 1 can water chestnuts, drained and chopped
  • 1 egg
  • 1 clove garlic, crushed
  • 1 tsp. packed brown sugar
  • 1 tsp. soy sauce
  • 1 tsp. ground ginger
  • 1 (8 oz.) can crushed pineapple in juice (undrained)

Method

  • Heat oven to 350°.
  • Mix all ingredients except pineapple. Spread beef mixture evenly in ungreased loaf pan, 9 x 5 x 3-inches.
  • Bake, uncovered, 1 hour; drain.
  • Spoon pineapple over meat loaf.
  • Bake about 30 minutes longer or until no longer pink in center.
