Ingredients

  • 1 1/4 cups sugar
  • 1 cup Land O Lakes Butter, softened
  • 1 Land O Lakes Egg
  • 3 tablespoons dark corn syrup
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla
  • 3 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 1/2 teaspoons baking soda
  • 2 teaspoons ground cinnamon
  • 1 teaspoon ground ginger
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon ground cloves
  • Sugar

Method

  • Heat oven to 375F.
  • Combine sugar and butter in bowl.
  • Beat at medium speed until creamy.
  • Add egg, corn syrup and vanilla.
  • Continue beating, scraping bowl often, until well mixed.
  • Add all remaining ingredients except additional sugar; beat at low speed until well mixed.
  • Shape dough into 1-inch balls; roll balls in sugar.
  • Place 2 inches apart onto ungreased cookie sheets.
  • Bake 10-12 minutes or until edges are lightly browned.
  • Cool 1 minute on cookie sheets; remove to cooling rack.
