Ingredients
- beans
- 1 Tbsp. salt
- 2 qt. water
- smoked turkey leg
- ham or ham hocks
Method
- Wash beans thoroughly and place in large kettle.
- Cover with water.
- Add 1 tablespoon of salt and soak overnight.
- In morning, drain.
- Add two quarts of water and smoked turkey leg, ham or ham hocks.
- Bring to boil and simmer slowly until beans are done, 3 to 3 1/2 hours.
