Ingredients
- 4 medium potatoes
- 3 slices bacon
- 1/2 c. chopped onion
- 1 Tbsp. flour
- 1 Tbsp. sugar
- 1 tsp. salt
- 1/2 tsp. celery seed
- 1/2 c. water
- 1/4 c. vinegar
Method
- Cook potatoes and slice.
- Cook bacon.
- Remove bacon and reserve fat.
- Add chopped onion and cook until tender.
- To that, add flour, sugar, salt and celery seed.
- Cook over low heat, stirring constantly until mixture is bubbly.
- Remove from heat; stir in water and vinegar.
- Heat to boiling, stirring constantly 1 minute. Remove from heat.
- Crumble bacon in mixture.
- Add potato slices. Serve warm.
