Ingredients
- 1 pkg. dry yeast
- 1 c. warm water
- 3 1/4 c. flour
- 1/2 c. margarine
- 1 c. sugar
- 1/2 tsp. nutmeg
- 1 Tbsp. lemon rind
- 4 eggs
Method
- Stir yeast into warm water.
- Mix in 1 cup flour.
- Set in warm place until bubbly (30 minutes).
- In a large bowl, mix butter, sugar and flavorings until fluffy.
- Beat in eggs, then add yeast mixture; blend in rest of flour.
- Pour into a greased 10-inch tube pan.
- Let rise until batter is 1/4-inch from top.
- Bake at 375° for 50 to 60 minutes.
