Ingredients

  • 1 c. chopped pecans
  • 1 c. flaked coconut
  • 1 German chocolate cake mix
  • 1 stick margarine
  • 8 oz. cream cheese
  • 1 lb. confectioners sugar

Method

  • Grease 9 x 13-inch pan.
  • Sprinkle 1 cup chopped pecans and 1 cup flaked coconut into prepared pan.
  • Mix one German chocolate cake mix by directions and pour over nuts and coconut. Melt one stick margarine and 8 ounces cream cheese; add 1 pound of confectioners sugar and whisk until smooth.
  • Pour over cake mix. Bake at 350° for 40 minutes.
