Ingredients

  • 1 c. coconut
  • 1 c. pecans
  • 1 stick margarine, melted
  • 1 (8 oz.) pkg. cream cheese, softened
  • 1 Pillsbury German chocolate cake mix
  • 1 box powdered sugar
  • Chocolate Frosting

Method

  • Grease a 9 x 13-inch pan.
  • Mix together coconut and pecans and spread over bottom of pan.
  • Mix cake mix as directed on box.
  • Pour over nuts and coconut.
  • Mix together margarine, powdered sugar and cream cheese, beating until smooth.
  • Drop by tablespoons on top of batter, but not too close to edge.
  • Bake 35 to 40 minutes at 325° (maybe longer).
  • Ice with Chocolate Frosting.
