Ingredients

  • 1 c. pecans, chopped
  • 1 c. coconut
  • 1 pkg. German chocolate cake mix
  • 8 oz. cream cheese (leave out at room temperature)
  • 1 pkg. powdered sugar
  • 1 stick butter

Method

  • Mix coconut and pecans together and pour into well-greased 9 x 13-inch pan.
  • Mix up cake according to directions on box and pour this over coconut and pecans.
  • In saucepan, melt butter and cream cheese over medium heat and gradually add powdered sugar.
  • Blend well.
  • Pour this evenly over the rest of the cake mixture.
  • Bake at 350° for 30 minutes.
  • Do not overcook; will burn easily.
  • Cool, cut and enjoy.
