Ingredients

  • 2 c. sugar
  • 1/4 c. flour
  • 2 Tbsp. cornstarch
  • 1/4 c. cocoa
  • 4 eggs
  • 1/4 c. melted butter or oleo
  • 1 Tbsp. vanilla
  • 3/4 c. evaporated milk
  • 1/2 c. chopped walnuts
  • 1/2 c. coconut
  • 1 (9-inch) unbaked pie shell

Method

  • Combine sugar,
  • flour,
  • cornstarch and cocoa.
  • Mix well. Beat eggs,
  • vanilla,
  • butter
  • and milk.
  • Add to dry ingredients and beat until
  • well
  • blended.
  • Add chopped walnuts and 1/2 cup coconut.
  • Pour into
  • unbaked
  • pie shell.
  • Top with 1 inch additional coconut.
  • Bake
  • at 350° for 40 minutes.
  • Let cool before slicing.
  • (I cook mine
  • in 300° for 10 minutes then on 350° for the remaining 30 minutes.)
