Ingredients
- 2 c. sugar
- 1/4 c. flour
- 2 Tbsp. cornstarch
- 1/4 c. cocoa
- 4 eggs
- 1/4 c. melted butter or oleo
- 1 Tbsp. vanilla
- 3/4 c. evaporated milk
- 1/2 c. chopped walnuts
- 1/2 c. coconut
- 1 (9-inch) unbaked pie shell
Method
- Combine sugar,
- flour,
- cornstarch and cocoa.
- Mix well. Beat eggs,
- vanilla,
- butter
- and milk.
- Add to dry ingredients and beat until
- well
- blended.
- Add chopped walnuts and 1/2 cup coconut.
- Pour into
- unbaked
- pie shell.
- Top with 1 inch additional coconut.
- Bake
- at 350° for 40 minutes.
- Let cool before slicing.
- (I cook mine
- in 300° for 10 minutes then on 350° for the remaining 30 minutes.)
