Ingredients
- 1 head cabbage
- 1 carrot
- 3/4 c. vinegar
- 1 1/4 c. sugar
- 1/4 c. water
- 1 tsp. salt
- 1 tsp. mustard seed
- 1 tsp. celery seed
Method
- Grate cabbage and carrot.
- Add salt; let stand 1 hour.
- Heat vinegar, water, sugar and seeds.
- Let come to a boil; cool. Squeeze juice out of cabbage, then add vinegar mixture. Refrigerate overnight.
- Keep refrigerated.
