Ingredients
- 1 c. celery, chopped
- 1 c. onion, chopped
- 1 c. peas (frozen)
- 3/4 tsp. sesame oil
- 2 Tbsp. water
- 2 c. water
- 1 c. raw cashews
- 2 Tbsp. chopped onion
- 2 Tbsp. McKay's chicken style instant broth
- 2 Tbsp. sesame seed, toasted*
Method
- Saute the vegetables in 2 tablespoons water and sesame oil until crispy tender.
- Put the remaining ingredients into a blender and process on high speed for 3 to 5 minutes or until the sauce is very smooth.
- Cook the sauce mixture with the sauteed vegetables on medium heat, stirring constantly, until the sauce thickens.
- Add 1 (15 ounce) can garbanzo beans, including liquid.
- Serve sauce on rice, mashed potatoes or noodles.
