Ingredients

  • 1/2 pounds, 78 ounces, weight Angel Hair Spaghetti
  • 1/2 teaspoons Black Pepper Powder
  • 1/2 teaspoons Garlic Powder
  • Salt As Per Taste
  • 1 Tablespoon Oil
  • 2 Tablespoons Butter
  • 2 Tablespoons Minced Garlic
  • 1 Tablespoon Grated Ginger
  • 1/2 cups Carrot, Shredded
  • 1/4 cups Cabbage Or Bok Choy, Chopped
  • 1/4 cups Spring Onion, Sliced Or Chopped
  • 1/4 cups Mushrooms, Sliced
  • 1 cup Chicken Stock
  • 1 teaspoon Soy Sauce
  • 1 teaspoon Red Chilli Sauce
  • 2 Tablespoons Cornstarch
  • 1 teaspoon Tomato Ketchup
  • 1 Tablespoon Any Curry Powder ( I Like MDH Bombay Biryani Masala So I Used That Instead)
  • 10 whole Prawns
  • Salt As Per Taste
  • 1 teaspoon Red Chili Powder
  • 1 Tablespoon Ginger Garlic Paste
  • 2 Tablespoons Oil
  • 4 Tablespoons Italian Spiced Bread Crumbs

Method

  • First cook the spaghetti to al dente according to the instructions on the packet.
  • Drain in a colander and pass them once again through cold water.
  • Add pepper, garlic powder, salt and oil to the noodles and toss to coat.
  • Meanwhile, in a pan over medium heat add butter.
  • Once melted add garlic and ginger, and cook until softened.
  • Add remaining vegetables (carrots through mushrooms) and stir fry.
  • As the vegetables cook add chicken stock, soy sauce, red chili sauce, cornstarch, and tomato ketchup into a small bowl.
  • Mix well.
  • Add this mixture to the vegetables and cook till the gravy thickens and veggies are softened to your preference.
  • Turn off gas.
  • Clean, peel and de-vein the prawns.
  • Apply salt, red chili powder and ginger-garlic paste to them and coat well.
  • Heat a skillet over medium high heat.
  • Add the oil and allow it to heat.
  • Cover the individual prawns in the Italian spiced bread crumbs.
  • When oil is hot add prawns in a single layer.
  • Cook until pink on both sides, just 3 or so minutes per side.
  • For serving, when the sauce is done, add spaghetti to it and mix well or you can serve separately i.e.
  • place spaghetti on a plate and pour sauce on it.
  • Serve along with hot spicy prawns.
  • Tips:
  • You can use any curry powder of your choice.
  • Adjust the spices to suit your taste buds.
  • I fried few prawns with just salt,turmeric and chili powder coated with semolina.
