Ingredients
- 3 c. sugar
- 1 c. milk
- 3 sq. unsweetened chocolate or 4 Tbsp. cocoa
- 2 Tbsp. light corn syrup
- 1/2 tsp. salt
- 3 Tbsp. butter or margarine
- 1 1/2 tsp. vanilla
- 1 c. pecans, coarsely chopped (if desired)
Method
- Heat sugar, milk, cocoa, corn syrup and salt.
- Cook until it forms a soft ball in cold water.
- Cool.
- Add butter and vanilla. Beat until thick and begins to lose its gloss, about 3 minutes. Pour into greased pan and let cool.
