Ingredients

  • 1 c. margarine
  • 2 c. light brown sugar, packed
  • 2 eggs
  • 2 tsp. vanilla
  • 2 1/2 c. sifted flour
  • 1 tsp. baking soda
  • 1 tsp. salt
  • 3 c. quick cooking rolled oats
  • 1 (12 oz.) pkg. chocolate chips
  • 1 c. Eagle Brand milk
  • 2 tsp. margarine
  • 1/2 tsp. salt
  • 1 c. chopped nuts
  • 2 tsp. vanilla

Method

  • Cream 1 cup margarine and sugar.
  • Mix in eggs and vanilla. Sift together flour, soda and 1 teaspoon salt; stir in rolled oats.
  • Add dry ingredients to cream mixture.
  • Set aside while you make filling.
