Ingredients

  • 1/2 c. butter
  • 1 sq. (1 oz.) unsweetened chocolate
  • 1/4 c. granulated sugar
  • 1 egg, beaten
  • 1 c. coconut
  • 1 tsp. vanilla
  • 2 c. graham cracker crumbs
  • 1/2 c. chopped nuts
  • 3/4 c. butter
  • 2 c. sifted confectioners sugar
  • 1 Tbsp. milk
  • 1 tsp. vanilla
  • 2 sq. unsweetened chocolate, melted

Method

  • In a saucepan melt butter and unsweetened chocolate.
  • In a bowl combine sugar, egg, coconut, vanilla, graham crackers and nuts.
  • Mix in chocolate mixture.
  • Press in a 13 x 9-inch pan. Beat separately:
  • 3/4 cup butter, confectioners sugar, milk and vanilla.
  • Spread over graham cracker crust.
  • Cover with 2 squares unsweetened chocolate, melted.
