Ingredients
- 2 c. sugar
- 3 Tbsp. cooking oil
- 3/4 c. cocoa
- 3 eggs
- 1 c. butter flavored Crisco or oleo
- 1 1/2 c. self-rising flour
- 1 tsp. vanilla
- 1 c. chopped nuts
Method
- Grease and dust with flour a 13 x 9 x 2-inch pan and set aside. Use a deep plastic bowl or mixing bowl and mix batter (sugar and cocoa) in bowl; mix well.
- Put oleo or Crisco on top of mix and microwave 1 to 2 minutes to melt oleo.
- Add cooking oil; add eggs, one at a time, and beat after each one.
- Add flour, a little at a time, and beat if batter gets too thick; microwave a little more. Add vanilla and chopped nuts, if wanted.
- Pour batter into greased pan and bake at 350° for 45 minutes.
