Ingredients

  • 2 c. mixed dried fruit, chopped
  • 1/2 c. honey
  • 3/4 c. chopped pitted dates
  • 1/2 c. milk powder
  • 1/2 c. wheat germ
  • 1/4 c. soy flour
  • 1/4 c. bran
  • 1/2 c. chopped almonds, walnuts and Brazil nuts
  • 3 Tbsp. oil
  • enough apple juice to make a thick batter
  • 1 c. low-fat granola cereal
  • brown sugar
  • 8 medium-size Golden Delicious apples
  • 2/3 c. apple cider or apple juice
  • 2 Tbsp. salad oil
  • all-purpose flour
  • 1 c. pitted prunes
  • 1 Tbsp. lemon juice

Method

  • About 1 1/2 hours before serving, or early in day, prepare crumble topping.
  • In small bowl, with fork, stir together granola, salad oil, 1/4 cup packed brown sugar and 1/4 cup flour until blended; set aside.
