Ingredients

  • 1 lb. chopped dates
  • 1/2 lb. candied cherries
  • 1/2 lb. candied pineapple
  • 2 c. chopped nuts
  • 2 1/2 c. flour
  • 1 tsp. soda
  • 1 tsp. salt
  • 1 tsp. cinnamon
  • 1 c. butter
  • 1 1/2 c. sugar
  • 2 eggs

Method

  • Combine fruit and nuts.
  • Set aside.
  • Combine dry ingredients and set aside.
  • Cream butter and sugar until smooth.
  • Add eggs and beat well.
  • Mix part of dry ingredients with the fruit.
  • Mix other part of dry ingredients with the creamed mixture and then stir in fruit mixture.
  • Drop with spoon onto greased cookie sheet.
  • Bake 10 to 15 minutes at 375°.
