Ingredients

  • 1 c. flour
  • 1 c. sugar
  • 1 c. powdered milk
  • 1 stick oleo
  • 1 1/2 tsp. baking powder
  • 1/2 tsp. salt
  • 1 large can fruit (peaches, pears or fruit cocktail)

Method

  • Preheat oven to 350°.
  • Put a 10-inch skillet in oven with butter to melt.
  • Mix flour, sugar, powdered milk, baking powder, salt and juice from fruit.
  • Pour into melted butter in a skillet. Pour fruit into center of skillet.
  • Bake at 350° for 45 minutes or until golden brown around outside edge.
  • A great recipe for a Dutch oven.
  • Do not double this recipe!
