Ingredients

  • 2 sticks margarine or butter
  • 1 1/2 c. light brown sugar
  • 2 eggs
  • 2 1/2 c. plain flour
  • 1 tsp. soda
  • 1 tsp. cinnamon
  • 1 tsp. vanilla
  • 1 lb. chopped dates
  • 4 slices pineapple, cut up fine
  • 1/2 lb. cherries, cut fine
  • 2 c. chopped pecans

Method

  • Cream butter and sugar.
  • Add eggs and beat well.
  • Add flour, soda, cinnamon and vanilla.
  • Mix well.
  • Add dates, pineapple, cherries and pecans.
  • Work with hands until all ingredients are blended.
  • Drop by spoonful on cookie sheet.
  • Bake at 350° about 13 minutes.
