Ingredients
- 12 c. grated squash
- 4 c. chopped onion
- 3 to 4 sweet bell peppers (can use one red for color)
- 2 hot jalapeno peppers
- 5 Tbsp. canning salt
- 2 1/2 c. vinegar
- 2 1/2 tsp. celery seed
- 1 tsp. turmeric
- 4 c. sugar
- 2 tsp. pickling spice, secured in cloth
Method
- Add
- squash
- mixture
- and bring to a boil again.
- Spoon into jars and seal.
- Makes 5 to 6 pints.
