Ingredients

  • 1 c. brown sugar
  • 1/2 c. oleo or butter
  • 4 eggs
  • 1 Tbsp. milk
  • 3 c. flour
  • 3 tsp. soda
  • 3/4 tsp. nutmeg
  • 3/4 tsp. cinnamon
  • 1/2 tsp. cloves
  • 1/4 c. bourbon or orange juice
  • 1/2 lb. candied pineapple, chopped
  • 1/2 lb. candied cherries, chopped
  • 1/2 lb. white raisins
  • 1 1/2 lb. pecan pieces

Method

  • Preheat oven to 250°.
  • Cream sugar and oleo or butter.
  • Beat eggs with milk and add.
  • Sift together flour, soda, nutmeg, cinnamon and cloves; add sifted mixture.
  • Add bourbon or orange juice.
  • Add pineapple, cherries, raisins and pecan pieces.
  • Drop teaspoon size on cookie sheet and bake at 250° for 20 to 25 minutes.
