Ingredients
- 4 green peppers
- salt, pepper, oregano and sweet basil leaves to taste
- 1 (8 oz.) can tomato sauce
Method
- Rinse the peppers; dry them well.
- Cut the top off peppers and pull out the middle.
- Clean and cut peppers into slices.
- Fry them in a little oil.
- When they are a little soft, cut the onion in small pieces; put them in with the peppers.
- Let them cook a little, then add your can of tomato sauce, salt, pepper, oregano and basil leaves.
- Stir it all together as the peppers are cooking. If pepper mixture gets a little dry, add a little water.
- Cook Fried Peppers 20 to 30 minutes or until tender.
