Ingredients

  • 4 green peppers
  • salt, pepper, oregano and sweet basil leaves to taste
  • 1 (8 oz.) can tomato sauce

Method

  • Rinse the peppers; dry them well.
  • Cut the top off peppers and pull out the middle.
  • Clean and cut peppers into slices.
  • Fry them in a little oil.
  • When they are a little soft, cut the onion in small pieces; put them in with the peppers.
  • Let them cook a little, then add your can of tomato sauce, salt, pepper, oregano and basil leaves.
  • Stir it all together as the peppers are cooking. If pepper mixture gets a little dry, add a little water.
  • Cook Fried Peppers 20 to 30 minutes or until tender.
