Ingredients

  • 1 Tbsp. oil
  • 2 green onions, diced
  • 1 c. freshly shredded lettuce
  • 1 tsp. flour
  • 3 Tbsp. water or chicken broth
  • 1 (10 oz.) pkg. frozen peas, cooked
  • 1 (5 oz.) can water chestnuts, drained
  • freshly ground black pepper

Method

  • In a saucepan, cook the green onions and lettuce in oil over low heat for 5 minutes. Combine flour with water or broth. Add to lettuce mixture and stir until thickened.
  • Put in the cooked peas, sliced water chestnuts and seasonings.
  • Heat through and serve.
