Ingredients
- 4 onions, sliced
- 4 Tbsp. butter
- 2 Tbsp. flour
- 4 (10 oz.) cans Campbell's beef bouillon
- 1 c. dry white wine
- salt
- 1/4 tsp. pepper
- 8 slices French bread, toasted
- Swiss cheese
Method
- Saute onions in butter for 30 minutes.
- Add flour.
- Stir for 1 minute.
- Add broth, wine, salt and pepper.
- Bring to boil, then simmer for 30 minutes.
- Pour soup in bowls.
- Add 1 slice toasted bread to each and top with Swiss cheese.
- Broil until cheese bubbles.
