Ingredients

  • 8 c. fresh pickles
  • 1 c. green and red peppers, chopped
  • 1 c. onions, sliced
  • 1 Tbsp. salt
  • 2 c. sugar
  • 1 tsp. celery seed
  • 1 c. white vinegar
  • 1/2 tsp. mustard seed

Method

  • Slice pickles very thin.
  • Mix pickles with peppers, onions and salt and let stand for 1 hour.
  • Drain.
  • Stir together sugar, celery seed, vinegar and mustard seed until sugar is dissolved. Pour over pickles and place in freezer containers.
  • Freeze.
  • If refrigerated, pickles will keep 2 to 3 weeks.
