Ingredients
- 2 Tbsp. oil
- 1 1/2 lb. ground chuck
- 1 large onion, chopped
- 1/8 tsp. garlic salt
- 1 tsp. salt or to taste
- 1/4 tsp. oregano
- 2 cans Ro-Tel tomatoes, undrained
- 1 tsp. Tabasco sauce
- 2 cans kidney beans, undrained
Method
- Heat oil in large skillet.
- Add meat and cook until brown.
- Add onion and garlic salt.
- Drain grease.
- Add salt, oregano and Tabasco sauce.
- Break up tomatoes and add along with kidney beans. Mix well and bring to simmer.
- Taste for seasonings and correct if needed.
- Simmer, covered, for 1 to 2 hours.
- If mixture is too thick, add tomato juice.
- When serving, sprinkle grated Cheddar cheese on top, if desired.
