Ingredients

  • 200 grams Raw shucked oysters (meant to be cooked, not eaten raw)
  • 1 tbsp Miso
  • 1 tbsp Mayonnaise
  • 1 tbsp Mirin

Method

  • Mix the ingredients together.
  • I used large raw oysters but you can also use cooking oysters.
  • Make two boat shaped cups out of the aluminium foil.
  • Wash the shucked oysters well.
  • Drop them quickly in boiling water with small amount of sake added (about 10 seconds).
  • Take them out immediately and dry well with paper towels.
  • Place the oysters in the foil boats and pour the combined ingredients over them.
  • Bake in a toaster oven until golden brown for about 12-15 minutes.
  • Optionally top with somee chopped green onion and/or serve with lemon.
  • You can also cook the oysters with your favorite vegetable - delicious.
