Ingredients

  • 2 lb. sugar (4 1/2 c.)
  • 1 (12 oz.) can milk (evaporated)
  • 1 c. oleo or butter or 1 each (2 sticks)
  • 13 oz. jar Marshmallow Creme
  • 3 (6 oz.) pkg. semi-sweet chocolate morsels
  • 2 c. chopped nuts (optional)

Method

  • Combine sugar, milk and oleo or butter in saucepan.
  • Stir over medium heat until sugar is dissolved.
  • Bring to a boil and boil 8 to 9 minutes, stirring occasionally to prevent scorching.
  • In large bowl, combine Marshmallow Creme and chocolate morsels.
  • Pour boiling sugar mix over them and mix with an electric mixer, starting on low and increasing to medium until it is thoroughly mixed.
  • Add nuts and blend in.
  • Pour into buttered 13 x 9-inch pan. Refrigerate until set.
  • Cut into pieces.
  • Stack into container in layers with wax paper.
  • Store in the refrigerator.
