Ingredients

  • 3 to 4 cloves garlic
  • 2/3 c. shelled walnuts
  • 2/3 c. bread crumbs
  • 1 1/2 Tbsp. vinegar
  • 1/4 c. oil
  • 1/4 tsp. salt
  • 1 to 2 Tbsp. cold water

Method

  • Pound the garlic with the salt and walnuts until well blended and creamy.
  • If you like the taste of chopped nuts, just mix the chopped nuts with the salt and garlic, which you put through a garlic press.
  • Add the bread crumbs with oil, a little at a time, then the vinegar and finally the cold water.
  • Put enough water to make the mixture soft like a paste.
