Ingredients

  • 1 lb. lean ground beef
  • 1/2 c. cornflakes, crushed
  • 1/2 can evaporated milk
  • 1/4 c. finely chopped onions
  • 1/4 c. chili sauce
  • 1 Tbsp. Worcestershire sauce
  • 1 tsp. salt
  • 1/4 tsp. black pepper
  • 1 tsp. hot pepper sauce (optional)

Method

  • In a 2-quart bowl, combine ground beef, cornflakes, evaporated milk, onions, chili sauce, Worcestershire sauce, salt, pepper and hot pepper sauce; mix well.
  • With wet hands, shape mixture into 16 meatballs.
  • Place meatballs in an ungreased 13 x 9 x 2-inch baking pan.
  • Bake, uncovered, in a preheated 400° oven 20 minutes, or until lightly browned on the outside and cooked medium on the inside.
  • Yields 4 to 6 servings.
