Ingredients

  • 1 (9 oz.) pkg. fresh fettuccine
  • 3/4 c. heavy cream
  • 1 1/4 c. diced, cooked turkey ham
  • 1/3 c. chopped fresh basil
  • 1 to 2 Tbsp. grated Parmesan cheese
  • dash of crushed hot pepper flakes
  • 1/3 c. chopped walnuts, toasted if desired

Method

  • In a large pot of boiling salted water, cook noodles until almost tender, 2 to 3 minutes.
  • Drain well.
  • Add cream, turkey ham, basil, cheese and hot pepper flakes to pot.
  • Cook over medium heat 5 minutes, stirring occasionally, until very hot and well blended.
  • Add pasta and walnuts and cook, tossing, 1 to 2 minutes, until heated through.
  • Serve immediately.
