Ingredients

  • 2 cups hot water
  • 2 tablespoons sugar
  • 2 (1/4 ounce) packages dry yeast
  • 2 tablespoons oil
  • 4 cups flour
  • 1 teaspoon salt

Method

  • Put 2 cups hot water in a large bowl, add 2 T sugar, add 2 pkgs dry yeast, let it set and it will dissolve.
  • Add 2 T oil, add flour and salt and mix until it forms a ball and knead it 15 minutes.
  • Put a big pan of hot water in the stove.
  • and place bowl of dough on top.
  • It will rise to double within 45 minutes.
  • Put Crisco in pan to grease and divide dough and spread it to edge.
  • The directions then say 400 degrees - 15 - bottom shelf 15-top shelf.
  • I'm not sure if that means a full 30 minute cooking time.
