Ingredients

  • 1 cup unsalted butter (soft, I use Land O Lakes)
  • 1 cup brown sugar, unpacked
  • 34 cup granulated sugar
  • 2 eggs
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 2 34 cups flour
  • 1 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 12 ounces semi-sweet chocolate chips

Method

  • Cream the butter, sugars, eggs and vanilla in a large bowl until well mixed.
  • In another bowl add the flour, baking soda, and salt and mix together with a fork.
  • Gradually add the flour mixture to the butter mixture unitl dough forms.
  • Add the chocolate chips to the dough and mix in by hand.
  • Roll into one inch balls and put on parchment (or wax paper) lined baking sheets.
  • Bake for 10 minutes at 375 degrees.
  • This dough will keep for about a week in the refridgerator.
