Ingredients

  • 4 cup cranberries (frozen ok)
  • 1 cup seedless raisins
  • 1 1/3 cup sugar
  • 1 1/2 tsp ground ginger (or fresh)
  • 1/4 tsp ground cloves
  • 1 tsp ground cinnamon
  • 1 cup water
  • 1 medium onion chopped
  • 1 medium apple peeled cored and diced
  • 1/2 cup chopped celery

Method

  • In a large sauce pan combine cranberries, raisins, sugar, ginger, cloves, cinnamon and water.
  • Cook over med heat for 15 minutes.
  • Add the onion, apple and celery.
  • Cook for another 15 minutes.
  • Cool and refridgerate.
  • It can also be canned or frozen for later use.
  • It makes 4 cups.
